Education
Childbox Enrichment Hub is a learning and play center for children of all ages. Located near the bustling Poblacion district of Makati City, it offers a wide range of learning and social activities that help bring out the best in every child.
Working closely with its stakeholders, I designed a logo and an accompanying brand identity for Childbox. The goal is to position it as a parent-approved educational haven where children can unlock their true potentials through the power of learning.
Unlocking Versatility
Childbox aims to be the go-to place for curious young minds with a never-ending thirst for knowledge. One where they can connect, learn new things and explore the world’s wonders together through interactive learning activities that engage and inspire.
Because it offers both a welcoming and supportive learning enviroment and a diverse range of learning and play opportunities for children, Childbox needed a versatile identity for branding not just its many offerings but also itself as a whole.
Facade concept rendering
Using bright colors and rounded corners to provide a sense of warmth and simulate childrens’ brains, the Childbox identity adapts based on different marketing situations while striking a balance between serious and playful.
True Colors Contained and Let Out
Designed around the pillow-like squircle silhouette of the Childbox icon, the identity features a chameleonic layout system whose accent color or visual changes depending on any given marketing context.
Childbox programs are grouped into four verticals: Read, Play, Make and Learn. When talking about these verticals, each of them are given its own brand color to be used as an accent color for designing specific marketing materials.
When talking about Childbox as a whole, however, a key visual known as “the caterpillar” is instead used as an accent. Used either as separate particles or a single unit covering allotted spaces, it uses all five colors in a way that adds playfulness and whimsy.
