Deliverables

  • Brand Identity

  • Brand Guidelines

  • Design Direction

  • Web Design

Family Montessori Preschool of Loyola is a pre-school for children aged 2½ to 6 years old. With facilities in Loyola Heights, Quezon City and San Roque, Marikina City, the school aims to develop students’ social, emotional and intellectual skills through interactive learning designed using Montessori principles.

Working closely with the directors of both facilities as well as their respective staff members, I have given the school’s brand identity a much-needed refresh with an accompanying toolkit, brand guidelines and a redesigned website. The project came as it celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2019.

Approach

A Family of Open Minds

The school’s daily activities follow a highly personalized curriculum. Grouped vertically each session, students interact with provided interactive learning materials focused on specific subject areas with the help of on-site directors.

Having interviewed key stakeholders and seen firsthand its daily activities, it’s clear that FMP’s hands-on educational approach and years-long experience in the field gained them a supportive community that values empathy, growth and respect.

Samples of old identity

Aware that it has not updated both its branding and website in years, the school needed a brand refresh that caters to current and future generations of FMP parents, students and staff without straying too far from its roots.

Identity

A Family for a Better Tomorrow

The FMP icon mark has been pared back and redrawn with simpler and more consistent shapes. It not only works better when used small, but it also represents a natural evolution of the school’s branding.

Key Visual

A Family in a Brighter World

Bringing to life the human figures living within the icon, FMP’s brand illustrations showcase the valuable learning experiences and meaningful social bonds that happen every day in the school in a playful way.
