2019
Family Montessori Preschool of Loyola is a pre-school for children aged 2½ to 6 years old. With facilities in Quezon City and Marikina City, the school aims to help students develop their social, emotional and intellectual skills through interactive learning.
In late 2019, I was approached by the directors of both facilities and, working closely with them and their respective staff, I gave the school’s brand identity and website design a much-needed update.
A Family Moving Onward
Based on the Montessori approach, the school’s daily activities are built around a highly personalized curriculum. Students are grouped vertically for each session and they interact with provided hands-on learning materials with the help of on-site directors.
Having had a firsthand look at its daily activities and given insights from its key people, it can be seen that FMP values its interactive learning approach, empathy-focused teaching principles and supportive community of parents, teachers and staff.
Aware that its identity design and web presence has not been updated for long, the school needed to translate these values into a refreshed, custom-made identity that caters to current and future generations of FMP parents without straying from its roots.
A Family for a Better Tomorrow
The refreshed FMP logo comes with a new typeface, a more subdued nature-inspired color palette and a set of colorful illustrations and icons, all of which form a brand identity that appeals to children, parents and school staff alike.
A Family in a Brighter World
Bringing to life the human figures living within the icon, the brightly-colored key visuals throughout the identity playfully showcase the valuable learning experiences and meaningful social bonds that happen every day at FMP.
Thanks to Rose, Aura, Noel and their staff in both Quezon City and Marikina City facilities. Additional thanks to Teddy for assisting with additional photography and video filming.
